The drum claw gripper is a high-quality mechanical drum lifter designed for handling upright 120-liter standard lid drums. The gripper has a load capacity of 360 kg and is manually operated. It can be used with a crane or forklift when equipped with the appropriate lifting gear. Utilizing an advanced 4-point clamping system, the drum gripper securely grips the drum. In the open position, the locking mechanism is safely hooked into the hand lever, ensuring the gripper remains open. When used with a crane or forklift, the gripper is lowered onto the upright 120-liter drum, the locking mechanism is released, and the 4-point clamping system automatically grips the drum beneath the rim. After lifting and transporting, the drum is lowered, and the locking mechanism is manually engaged via the hand lever, allowing the gripper to be safely detached from the drum.Operation of the drum claw gripper:

  • In the open position, the locking mechanism is anchored in the hand lever.
  • The gripper is placed on the drum using a crane.
  • By releasing the locking mechanism, the claws automatically grip the drum when the lifting action is triggered.
  • Releasing the drum follows the reverse order after the drum is set down.
