Description

The drum clamping claw grabber is a high-quality mechanical drum grabber, designed for handling upright 120-liter standard drums with lids. The drum grabber has a load capacity of 360 kg. It is manually operated and can be used with a crane or forklift (when paired with appropriate lifting gear). The advanced 4-point clamping system securely grips the drum. When in the open position, the locking mechanism is securely hooked into the handle lever to keep the drum grabber open. Using a crane or forklift, the drum grabber is lowered onto a standing 220-liter L-ring drum. Once the locking mechanism is released, the 4-point clamping system automatically grips the drum beneath the rim. After lifting and transporting, the drum is set down, and the locking mechanism is manually re-engaged in the handle lever to release the grabber from the drum.

Operation of the drum clamping claw grabber

  • In the open position, the locking mechanism is anchored in the handle lever.
  • The drum grabber is lowered onto the drum using a crane.
  • Releasing the locking mechanism causes the clamping claws to automatically grip the drum during the lifting process.
  • Releasing the grabber follows the reverse process after setting the drum down on the ground.
